The HSC 55 linear expands the series of vertical High Speed Cutting machines for smaller sizes and sets a new benchmark in High Speed Cutting. The basic configuration already includes a 28,000 rpm HSC spindle. The larger flange diameter of the HSK A63 taper increases the stability of the machining process and allows High Speed Cutting as well as roughing with high chip volume. Based on the available spindles with 18,000 and 42,000 rpm the machine is qualified not only for HSC machining in the high end die and mould industry, but also for the serial production and for the machining of electrodes. The linear drive technology accelerates the axes with more than 2g up to 80 m/min rapid traverse. The swivel-rotary table of the 5 axes version swivels and rotates with 120 rpm thus enabling high dynamic 5 axes simultaneous machining. The thermo symmetric bridge type design guarantees maximum stability and long time precision.
